1. Prominent Disclosure: Background Location Access
⚠️ Prominent Notice: Ragaaly collects precise location data in the background (even when the app is closed or not in use) solely to enable real-time tracking, live location telemetry, and recovery when your device is reported lost or stolen. Background location tracking is strictly inactive during normal operations and is triggered only upon authorized theft/loss emergency alerts.
2. Device Administrator & Remote Security Permissions
Ragaaly utilizes the Device Administrator permission (BIND_DEVICE_ADMIN) and screen lock features. This capability is strictly limited to:
- Allowing verified owners to remotely lock the stolen device to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive personal and financial apps.
- Triggering a high-volume security siren and flashing alert to help locate the lost device.
- Preventing quick-settings tampering (e.g. disabling GPS or toggling Airplane Mode) during theft mode.
3. Emergency Backup Contacts & Alert Routing
- Users may register a trusted Emergency Contact (Name, Phone Number, and Backup Email).
- This information is strictly utilized to route live tracking coordinates, battery telemetry, and the confidential Handover Verification Code (OTP) if the primary SIM card is disconnected or replaced by a thief.
- Emergency contacts are never shared with third parties or used for promotional purposes.
4. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Name, phone number, email address, and identity verification credentials when filing official theft reports.
- Hardware Identifiers: Device model, brand, Serial Number, and IMEI to prove ownership and blacklist stolen devices.
- SIM & Network Telemetry: Carrier status and SIM state to detect unauthorized SIM removal.
5. Permanent Account & Data Deletion
You have the full right to delete your account, registered devices, and all associated personal data at any time. You can perform instant deletion directly within the mobile app via Account Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account, or through our public web deletion portal at https://ragaaly.com/delete-account.
6. Data Protection & Encryption
All sensitive communications are encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols (SSL/TLS & AES-256). We never sell, lease, or monetize your personal data.
